A tucked away space on the second floor of the overlooked Walter Strauss & Son building in the developing River East area has become the perfect refuge for five artists. Once a home to an architecture firm, the approximately 700 sq. ft. office with huge north-facing windows on an exposed concrete wall with a decaying patina became the ideal workspace. Of the six suites on the floor, two are apartments and four are currently used for art workspaces & creative purposes. Coded entry allows artists to make use of the spaces at all hours of the day. Perks like complimentary WiFi, bottomless coffee, sponsor gifted products by Pabst Blue Ribbon and Hint water are the cherry on top. A neighbor discount at local coffee shops and restaurants lets these guys stay on the street for that much needed boost, lunch break or happy hour relief.
Josh Perry & wife Marin Perry were the first to claim their space in early 2018. Sherry Abbasi and Shannon Ceron joined not too long after and within the same month. The latest addition, Mariell Guzman, has quickly grown roots in the shared workspace.
